edetermined is a complex one and I refuse to fully side with either extreme but I do see the truth in twins being born with portions of foreordained character.
There are two broad classifications of twins. Only certain types of twins are qualified in the tests done regarding predetermined personalities. Fraternal twins, perhaps the most common of the two, grow separately from two eggs united with two different sperm cells ("What's"). Because they are virtually two different beings that grow independent of one another they are a lot less similar then identical twins. Dizygotic, as they are also known, share only 50% of similar genes and are, in fact, no more genetically alike then two single born siblings ("Twins"). Because of this, most of their traits are discordant, meaning shared by only one of the two twins, just like a brother and sister having completely different personalities.
