This project was supposed to help in understanding how advertising comes into play even in retail stores. I think that it has everything to do with displays, signs, knowledgeable staff, and much more. I know that when I go into a store to find items, I am paying attention to all of these things. It is not only about the tangibles but the intangibles as well. Take the service aspect for example. Having a staff that knows what they are talking about and who promotes certain products affects consumers and what they buy. Companies have to worry about coming up with the right product to fill a need, have packaging and a price that is appealing to the target market, distribute the product in the right places, and make sure there is effective communication through things such as personal selling, advertising, sales promotion, etc. As far as distribution is concerned, you would not want to distribute Gucci handbags at a Wal-M...
