Introduction

March 2003 was a turning point in history. President Bush declared war in Iraq because he felt that the Iraqi regime was a threat to the United States government. Another reason for invading Iraq was because he claimed that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that could be used against the U.S. More than half of the U.S population voted, that the president’s rational for going into Iraq was to mandate the oil in Iraq. 1 The U.S controlling the oil, invading Iraq and, Saddam Hussein threat are not the only problems. The major issue is that U.S soldiers dying in Iraq for reasons that are so slight. March 2003 was not as rough as April 2004. April 2004 is when everything went downhill in Iraq. "More than 100 U.S soldiers died in Iraq during that month and the number of missing U.S soldiers thought to have been kidnapped in Iraq has risen to at least 16 as rebels look for bargaining chips in their fight against the U.S.-led coalition." 2
President Bush says that things are getting better in Iraq because he believes that the U.S soldiers have everything under control. With the chaos and the confusion that continues to be, a problem in Iraq will there ever be order?
Background
On an average the U.S government spends about four billion dollars a month on the troops in Iraq.1 This amount is a part of the reconstruction of Iraq. According to President Bush, he has stated that the billions of dollars that the U.S is spending will benefit the United States in the future.2 The question is when will the troops be able to come home due to all of the chaos continues to rise each day. Is it essential that the troops come home today?
