Your whole world just fell apart. Or so you think! Imagine that for years you and your partner have been planning a vacation to some faraway island somewhere, far away from work, school or just your everyday routine. When you finally reach the island, you realize that the money you both have been saving was stolen, completely gone. In instances like these, you wish you had some other alternative, other than cash. With the world as it is now and the inconveniences we face daily, we wish that we had something to help us in our time of distress and agony of either the loss or theft of cash. Credit cards can be as much help to everyone in times like these. Credit cards can help to build the economy, help prevent theft of cash, be convenient and even build your credit rating. That is why we should stop using currency and start using only credit cards.
Credit cards are better to use than cash because they help to build the economy. This is because of the interest rates you would have to pay back on the cards after you have made a purchase. The use of credit cards have become such a familiar feature of the life style in the world that it is difficult to imagine a consumer economy functioning without them. With this, we can say that day-by-day “credit cards have increasingly replaced cash as the most convenient way to pay for things” (Poppers, 2002, par.4). Even the mom and pop’s stores are moving with the times, and making credit cards machines available to their customers, in order to increase consumer purchasing, that will, in the long run help to build the economy. As society grows and progresses, people are realizing that credit cards are the way to go in order to increase economic stability. The boom of the credit card industry has affected everyone in the world, no matter where they are from or the state of the economy.
