Why I Think Tobacco Should Be Considered Illegal

I’m here to talk to you guys about why I think tobacco should be considered illegal. According to, The Cancer Council New South Wails, “tobacco kills more than 10,000 people world wide every day.”(The Cancer Council New South Wails). “They state that globally every single year 3.5 million people die from tobacco related illnesses.” (The Cancer Council New South Wails). I utterly dislike people who smoke cigarettes. Even though they might say that there are positive effects to it. I think it is harmful to them and the people around them. Too many people notice the consequences of smoking way to late.
The Cancer Council New South Wails,“ reveals that by 2020 it is predicted that tobacco use will cause over 12% of all deaths globally. This is more death’s worldwide than HIV, tuberculosis, maternal mortality, motor vehicle accidents, suicide and homicide combined.”( The Cancer Council New South Wails). Startling as it is, it is a reality that we have to face. We need to face the facts and realize that tobacco truly kills and destroys lives with no remorse. Smoking, often not only harms the people that smoke but people around when a cigarette is smoked.
Smokers are not the only people who can be negatively affected by smoking. Non-smokers are also in danger of experiencing serious health problems caused by breathing in other people's tobacco smoke. There are three types of harmful tobacco smoke. Mainstream, tobacco smoke, which is directly breathed in through the burning cigarette by the smoker, (Commonwealth Department of Health & Family Services). There is Exhaled Mainstream, that is breathed out from the smokers' lungs and lastly there’s Sidestream tobacco smoke which drifts from the lit end of the cigarette, (Commonwealth Department of Health & Family Services).
