Each individual should be there to meet each other’s needs willingly and lovingly. Here’s an important one, the partners sexual relationship should work well and be satisfying for both party’s involved. The couple can and should keep agreements. The couple must be honest with one another. This should top the list at all times in the relationship no matter what the circumstances are. There should never be any abuse, physically, verbally or emotionally. Relationships should have boundaries. One should never feel guilty for saying no to their partner if something doesn’t feel right to them and pleasing the other partner is kept at a minimum. No relationship should keep either individual from making great sacrifices to stay in the relationship. Either individual in the relationship is able to hear feedback about the possibility of projecting old relationship fears in the current relationship. Most importantly there is to be commitment from both parties, all exits are blocked. Don’t ever get into a relationship that you want to last forever if the other individual refuses to commit. Don’t ever think you can change a person, it just won’t happen (Wesson, 2001).
