Abortion
The article I chose is the ongoing concern of abortion in the world today. Abortion is the ending of pregnancy before birth. An abortion results in the death of an embryo or a fetus while destroying the lives of helpless, innocent children. By aborting these unborn infants, humans are only taking the easy way out of their responsibilities. They are finding a loop hole in life at the expense of an unborn child. Abortion is simply wrong. Everyone is raised knowing the difference between right and wrong. Murder is wrong, and therefore so is abortion. People argue that it is not murder if the child is unborn. Abortion is murder because the fetus being destroyed is living, breathing, and moving. If an infant is destroyed a month before the birth there is no problem, but if killed a month after birth it is considered murder. This does not make sense.
Abortion becomes especially evil when the bond between a mother and child is broken and it is being used as an alternative birth control when humans cannot control their sexual desires. If humans are mature enough to be sexually active, they should also be responsible enough to accept the consequences, and if that means becoming pregnant and creating a life, then that life should have the opportunity to live. There should be a special bond between a mother and child, whether born or unborn.
Mothers and her children form a bond unlike any other. When a child is aborted, the unborn child has no opportunity to share this bond. Abortion is never about just abortion. It is about whether society as a whole regards the gift of life. Many women do experience this bond and also feel a great loss and emptiness in their lives.
Abortion is a selfish and thoughtless act. This aborted child could have been destined for greatness. This child was bound by nothing, except abortion. A mother that can rob her own child of the experience of life is incomprehen...
