To add to this list of problems, students in reservation communities go into the educational system with feelings of discord and doubt, making the psychological part of learning harder to incorporate into their already skeptical outlook. Native Americans’ suicide rate is 50% higher than the rest of the nation. This is due to the lack of research done on this group, thus making it problematic when trying to create an adequate system to help with the mental health issues that they face.
