“Measuring the Brightness of an Incandescent Lightbulb”

The purpose of this project was to determine the difference, if any, in
60 watt incandescent lightbulbs. All bulbs used in this experiment were ordinary, everyday lightbulbs. The experiment involved metering the amount of lumens given off by each.
My hypothesis was confirmed that each bulb varied in strength even though, all were rated at the same wattage. Each product was a nationally recognized name brand. Each brand of bulb was purchased in packages of four and all were tested to insure consistency.
The metering process was achieved by using two small solar panels and a mechanical revolution counter.
The experiment showed a distinct difference in the actual brightness of the different brand/models. All were comparable in pricing and availability. I did not measure the durability of each brand or did not try to find out the best value....
