There are many times in humanity's history that have defined the world today. One of the most influential times was the ending of the age of faith when the renaissance ideas started. It was a time where thoughtless beliefs gave way to proven facts of science, art, and new ways of thinking. One man who was a prime example of a person of the renaissance was Sir Isaac Newton.

Sir Isaac Newton has changed all of our lives. Most people don’t even think of him when they deal with his discoveries daily. Though he did not create the things he is known for, he discovered more about them than anyone before him. He was the top authority on all things of motion and gravity. Simply studying these thoughts shows his renaissance qualities.

Back in Newton’s time science was not as easily accepted as it is now. Only the people with minds accepting renaissance ideas accepted his findings. The churches did not like science. They labeled science heresy and tried many people accordingly. This didn’t stop Newton from studying his ideas. Going against the church is an example of how he is a renaissance man.

People of the age of faith believed because they were told to believe. They did not question the church or what was said to be true. The renaissance was the opposite. It pushed the limits of the human mind in many aspects of life. People would create art based on what they wanted, not what others wanted. People would create music in the same way. The church did not like this at all. Newton’s studying of everything is also very much the same as what others were doing in their own fields. His opposition to the age of faith thinking shows his renaissance thinking.
