That night I had a dream that felt unmistakably real. My father suddenly passed away and I was helpless to save him. I started shaking and crying, when suddenly I started to say aloud, in vain, “Jesus Christ.” As the words were spoken I came into a lighter, more aware sleep, and the statement, originally taken in vain, turned into a plea, “Jesus Christ, I believe that you are my salvation.” Almost immediately an unidentifiable peace took control of my body. I fell right back into the most comfortable and peaceful sleep. I forgot all about the situation until that life-altering night…
