Serial killers usually have a method of how they kill their victims. Some serial killers rape their victims before they kill them. One example of this type of serial killer is Ted Bundy. As a youngster he was a Boy Scout, had a paper route, and was a high school athlete. He had held jobs with the Republican Party and was even a counselor at a rape crisis center. These attributes make it hard to believe he could commit such acts of violence(“Serial Killers Part 1” 1).
Ted was very slick and sneaky when it came to killing women. He would usually pretend to have a broken arm or something to that effect and ask the women to help him with something such as carrying his groceries. Sometimes he would sneak a woman out of a party and kill her without being noticed. His murdering method was to rape the women, then strangle them to death. He would then steal their jewelry so he could pawn it to earn money.
Ted killed eight people in Washington, three in Utah, and four in Colorado. It was in Colorado that he was captured for the first time. He was pulled over in his car where the police found a crowbar, a ski mask, a nylon stocking, and a pair of handcuffs. Amazingly, he was set loose with only a traffic violation.
