Intervention studies with large numbers of senior participants are sorely needed.” While this study has produced some beneficial information the next course of action should be a broader study that is not limited to small people groups, geographic location, and voluntary status of the participants. There should be some ethical plan devised to gain participation from those most affected by depression so as to get at the real issues of depression within the old elderly. This study would be more credible if it had been conducted throughout the industrialized nations in twelve to fifteen different locations. Thus providing a greater sample with which to base their findings.
