The Feud Regarding Capital Punishment

My understanding of capital punishment is very vague. I’ve looked into this issue several time, especially now with the election coming up Nov. 5. The addition in questions to the Florida constitution is Amendment No.1 article I, Section 17, and it states:
“The amendment prohibits reduction of the death sentence based on invalidity of an execution method and provides for continued force of the sentence.” (Then it skips a few lines and it says) “The amendment would prevent state courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, from treating the state constitutional prohibition against cruel or unusual punishment as being more expansive than the federal constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment or United States Supreme Court interpretations thereof. The amendment effectively nullifies rights currently allowed under the state prohibition against cruel or unusual punishment which may afford greater protections for those subject to punishment for crimes than will be provided by the amendment.”
I’m going to vote no on this issue, because to me it seems like it saying, we are going to use every possible way to kill the person regardless of what the Supreme Court says and we might provide as much protection as we should to investigate the crimes they committed, but it doesn’t matter as long as they die. I know the Florida Supreme court decides who committed such a horrible crime that they should use the death penalty and that’s when they enforce it, but I don’t think it they look into it as much as they should.
The main opposing argument to the death penalty is the mistakes. The wrongful execution of anyone cannot be reversed. “A recent study by The Justice Project on the use of the death penalty in the United States has captured headlines with suggestions that capital cases are rife with serious error.” I would think that when involving such a final fate...
