“Splish splash I was taken a bath all alone on a Saturday night” sang Charlie in perfect unison with the radio. Blowing a puff of smoke he stroked his greased brown hair back then looked back to see if his brother Tim was sturring. Dead asleep and lightly snoring. This was the only time Tim would let Charlie drive the car. It felt good to drive nice cars, even if they weren’t yours.
After a while though the cigarettes and music weren’t keeping him a wake, it was the snoring. His brother was doing his best imitation of a gargling tiger in his sleep. To fend off this annoying beast Charlie grabbed his jacket and began to press on Tim’s face. But in that second of distraction a figure appeared in front of the car. Out of the corner of Charlie’s’ eye he saw it, but he didn’t have time to swerve and miss it. Knocking it full on, the figure rolled over the car, hitting the passenger windshield, and then bounced off the back of the car, finally settling on the ground. Charlie, stopped the car, but could do nothing else. Then he un froze for a second, and looked over to the passenger seat. There among the moon lit shards of glass he saw a woman’s bloody shoe.
“What happened, what the heck just happened, are you ok, did you hit a deer? I swear to God man, if you wrecked my car, you are…
“Girl.” Interrupted Charlie as he looked up to Tim with wide eyes and pointed behind the car.
“Oh my God.” Said Tim as he jumped out and ran for victim. Charlie was still frozen.
