In this type your body makes enough insulin, but you’re body is just not able to use it properly. After a few years of this kind of diabetes you will probably need insulin shots because all of your insulin went to waste. In gestational diabetes you need to have excellent diabetes control. This means you need to have normal blood glucose for at least 3 months prior to conception and throughout pregnancy. You and your baby will need special care for about three months after delivery. To control the three types of diabetes it is important to follow the directions that your doctor gives to you.
