The say that marijuana is very addictive and will lead to other drugs. First of all, marijuana is not physically addictive. It may be mentally addictive just as video games, TV, or Pizza Face. Think of all the other things that are physically addictive such as nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol and are still legal. Smoking cigarettes causes cancer and is one of the biggest contributors to death in the US. Also, alcohol abuse is one of the major health problems for Americans and for many other countries as well. For these reasons why not legalize marijuana?
As for the statement that says that there is no evidence to prove that marijuana use in chemotherapy is helpful, the answer is obvious from the many scientific evidence that I came across. Marijuana has been shown to be effective in reducing nausea induced by cancer chemotherapy (Zimmer & Morgan, 1997).
