valuables when the neighbor Maria Fasching knocked on the door. She was brought into the
living room and forced to lay down. Kallinger then threatened Frank that if he moved, he
would cut off his penis. Maria was then moved into the basement where she was raped.
Kallinger then drowned her. Randi at this time was able to get her legs free and to go see if
her mother was okay. The police arrived and ordered Kallinger to come out with his hands

untied them. At this point in time Detective Roger Quentin arrived and found Edwina and
asked her where the others were, she answered with basement. Quentin went down into the
basement and found Maria with her throat slit and drowned in her own blood, he then saw
Frank tied to the furnace, yet unharmed, and untied him.
