Everyone knows smoking or chewing tobacco is bad, so why do people start? Most people smoke to help them with their nerves and anger, some people mostly women smoke to loose weight or maintain their weight, and finally one other good reason to smoke is to help them get away from drugs and to help them quit. The sad truth is that only about 25% will ever be able to successfully quit in their lifetime. Nicotine, the drug in tobacco, is extremely addictive. It has been shown to be more additive than alcohol and as addicting as heroin.
We would be horrified if tobacco companies added heroine to its products, but we allow them to boost nicotine levels in cigarettes! What’s the difference? Both drugs, heroin and nicotine, are useless. They are only used to satisfy the addiction of their customers....
