CFS is also considered to be an illness that is characterized by constant fatigue; leaving many patients to become bed ridden. CFS may also last as long as six months or longer. CFS may also be the cause for other medical conditions such as “stealth viral infections” (Martin, 1996 p. 2). Those suffering with Chronic Fatigue patients may also have the potential to have relapses or reoccurring episodes. An individual that shows at least four symptoms at the same time of CFS are considered to be a candidate CFS. Further, complications can develop in people with insurance, because they may not seek medical treatment for fear of not having perceiving an illness, while individuals without insurance may also develop complications for not receiving proper treatment; however individuals that received medical treatment showed positive results.
