The Positive Points of the War
War can have many good points. War can lead to peace. Even though we may not be the country or people who are being directly attacked by Saddam Hussein, we choose to help the Iraqis who are being attacked by him. The people of Iraq cannot protect themselves so American and British troops have gone overseas to fight for these civilians. Saddam Hussein has these civilians trapped in their own country. These people have no freedoms and see Saddam as a major threat. Saddam Hussein is such an evil man who is extremely powerful. Although we, as a country, may not be in direct threat of Saddam Hussein, Americans never know when Hussein may attack our country. If we would not have gone to war with Iraq, Saddam may have taken over more than just his own country of Iraq, but he may have also tried to take over the world as a whole. If American and British troops help the civilians of Iraq to gain their freedom back once again and to either kill Saddam Hussein or get him to surrender then the world as a whole will be much safer and not have the fear of Saddam killing the civilians of his own country or performing terrorist attacks to either America or another country. Because we are helping Iraq to once again get their freedoms back, it proves that America and American troops are one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, nation in the world. While the troops are over in Iraq, they are not only trying to overthrow Saddam Hussein but also to let the citizens of Iraq be a part of a democratic government once again. Iraq is still considered to be democratic right now even with Saddam Hussein in charge. However, Saddam Hussein has people killed when they do not vote for him in their ?free election?.
Also if American troops win the war, the citizens of Iraq will be able to keep the money made from their oil supplies. With this money, they will rebuild some of the schools in Iraq, so that will no...
