The Declaration of Independence for our country was meant to claim freedom from British rule. Thomas Jefferson stood up and wrote this declaration so that his voice could be heard. Everyone has a right of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. If any or all of these are taken away, each person has a right to rebel and claim some change or freedom from it. I have a right to stand up for my rights because I am a citizen of this country and this country promises me these rights listed above. If I do not let my voice be heard, then all the others who feel the same way as I do will not have the strength to express their oppression either. It has to start with one person, then work its way on to the whole country. I feel that my liberty is being taken away from the annoyance of commercials on TV. I cope with this problem everyday when I just want to relax for a while and have a little entertainment. I want to declare independence from these commercials because it is really disrupting my peace. I cannot enjoy a few moments of television without having to deal with commercials.
The commercials on TV have disturbed my peace. First of all, if I am watching a certain show which I like, the ads take up most of the time of the show. It really annoys me when the time and amount of commercials within the show is more than the actual TV program. Another thing is that when the commercials come, the volume is so loud, even louder than the TV program. They do this to grab our attention but on the other hand, it really is a disturbance. Another complaint I have is the actual length of the commercials. Some of them, especially the allergy ones, are so long. They seem like they’re never going to end. The ads shown on TV are so deceptive. They persuade a person to go out and buy the product even if that product is not worthy.
