Throughout history, people’s morals have determined the decisions they’ve made with their lives. In today’s society, it seems that morals are playing less and less of a role in people’s actions everyday. Promiscuity is on the rise. In our liberal media, sex is everywhere. It has taken over our television, magazines, internet, and the list goes on. Not only is it displayed almost everywhere, people are making money by selling it. What does this say about our society? The idea of sex, which used to be something viewed as an intimate act of affection or love between a man and woman, has become a market in the United States. Something like sex should not be taken lightly. However, our society has become corrupted. The fact that sex is seen at will, has cemented the idea into so many people’s minds that it is okay to be promiscuous. If sexual displays were removed from our everyday lives, this morally degraded society that we live in would be much better off.
The fact that pornography is still looked down upon by many people should be enough reason for anyone to step back and question whether it is right or wrong. It is incredible how someone can get arrested for indecent exposure in this country, but can walk into a store and purchase a magazine with countless pictures of nude bodies and lewd acts in it. Pornography displays acts that only used to occur behind closed doors. However, today it is readily available for anyone who wants it. One can get on the internet and find enough pornography to keep them entertained for as long as they can sit in front of their screen. Not only is this utterly disgusting, it has corrupted the minds of so many. When a man and woman get married and vow to be faithful to each other, the vow should be honored in every aspect possible. If their thoughts and sexual desires are focused on a person other than the one they’re committed to, it is wrong. Howe...
