Crimes and Misdemeanors

I choose to reflect on what the meaning of the "Eyes of God see all" question. After analyzing the movie and Judah’s understanding of God and Jack, Judah’s brother, interpretation of God I have come to realize what the meaning of the "Eyes of God see all" means.
When Jack calls Judah and tells him that he has eliminated his problem with his mistress, he says, "Everything came out fine. It’s all over and done with. No problems. So you can forget about it." Judah, consumed by guilt, knows that this is something you can forget. No matter how hard he tries, the guilt follows him. This shows that Jack does not comprehend the bible. In the bible it says God sees all. It also says God is everywhere, "lift up a rock and I will be there" is also in the bible meaning that God is everywhere and sees everything.
Judah has a flashback to when he was a child and encounters a discussion of religious beliefs within his family. His father tells him, "Absolutely nothing that escapes his sight. He sees the righteous and the wicked. The righteous will be rewarded but the wicked will be punished for eternity." This scene in the movie is saying the meaning the "Eyes of God see all." The meaning behind it is that God sees everything I do, and everything you do as well. God sees when we misbehave, when we sin, and win we are righteous.
There is a disagreement in the movie. The argument over whether a murder is punished in the end. One believes that if a murder can murder and get away with it and not let it bother him then he should be a free man and not punished. The other side to this argument is that God sees all. In the end, even though he has gotten away with murder, he is still punished for all eternity because God seen him. Our supreme judge is that of our God and not of the law. Except, unlike God, the law does not see all....
