nd filled with cavities and fillings. When he laughed and others were capable of seeing them, he would shield his mouth with his hand. Perhaps Hitler’s most profound features were his eyes. They were light blue, with a speckle of gray and green. Almost everyone who looked into them described them as “strangely compelling” (pg. 21). They had never met anyone whose appearance was so completely dominated by the eyes. Women in particular were scared of his piercing glances, which he often practiced privately in front of the mirror.
Hitler clung desperately to his childhood and refused to change tastes and opinions, that began when he was a little boy. When he was triggered into a fit of rage, it was seldom related to any political or military defeat. He would rage if someone disagreed with anything he said or did, or even if someone forgot to bring him his water. He had a childlike passion for building and then destroying things. Many people would find him sprawled out on the floor of his office building towers with blocks, and when through he would demolish them. On many occasions, he would invite his guests to join him. His private behavior ran very close to his actions that he took when making political decisions. He built up a very strong and powerful German empire, and then destroyed much of its composition. He was a man that was so fearful of change that his life consisted of the exact same schedule day after day. He surrounded himself with the same people, repeatedly did the same activities, and even discussed the same topics over and over.
