Teachers that understand students’ heritage will improve their ability to educate the students. The way teachers can boost student self esteem is to develop, confidence and good communication. Many schools also have the requirement that the staff must be bilingual. Team teaching also helps get a collective sense of responsibility and to help with problems that may occur.
