Nudgee College, a Catholic boys school, is currently has over one third of its 600 Year 11 and 12 students involved in vocational education and training programs and over 30 involved in school-based traineeships and apprenticeships. Both adult and conventional students are involved in traineeships, across 18 industry training areas. Nudgee College’s traineeship program has emerged as a natural progression from the extensive general vocational program and is set to expand to 150 in 2003.
The training delivery model developed by Nudgee College focuses on individually tailored training programs negotiated between trainees, employers, the school and TAFE and Group Training.
