Economic Factors:

The estimated gross domestic product (GDP) or value of all final goods and services produced within a Nicaragua during the 2003 was of purchasing power parity (PPP) of $11.6 billion. The (PPP) method involves the use of standardized global dollar price weights, which are applied to the quantities of final goods and services produced in a given economy. The data derived from the (PPP) method provide the best available starting point for comparisons of economic strength and well-being between countries. During the year 2003 our (PPP) was ranked 127 out of the 231 countries in the planet.
According to the GDP – real growth rate, which states the growth on an annual basis adjusted for inflation and expressed as a percent. The GDP – real growth rate for Nicaragua was 2.3% (2003 EST.) Based on real growth rate our country was ranked number 135.
Another important economic factor to mention is the GDP per capita, which GDP on a purchasing power parity basis divided by population as of 1 July for the same year. For Nicaragua on the year 2003 the GDP per capita was a (PPP) of $2,300 ranking our country at 163. The percentage contribution of agriculture, industry, and services to the total GDP (GDP –composition by sector) from Nicaragua 28.9% for agriculture, 25.4% for industry and 45.7% for industry. Investment (gross-fixed) is a entry records total business spending on fixed assets, such as factories, machinery, equipment, dwellings, and inventories of raw materials, which provide the basis for future production.
