He looked down more and realized how high he was, the tree must have grown three fold since he had last seen it years ago, when Dave and him were friends. He made out the large, red, shingled roof of Dave’s house and saw a dark figure clothed in all black with no skin showing. Black gloves, black paintball mask with a green light glowing over the edges of the plastic lenses for better seeing through the fog and night. The light was produced by light bulbs the size of pen tips all powered by a stash of batteries inside of the mask.
Chris leaned back against the tree and pulled down his sniping paintball gun and pushed a clip of 20 paintballs directly in front of the trigger chamber. He pulled the bar jutting out from beneath the scope back then pushed it forward, hearing the paintball load and a burst of CO2 prepare behind it. Chris was blessed with precise aim and intensified balancing skills, which aided him in being his team’s sniper man. He was not going to be giving Dave his birthday gift; he was only there to provide Jp with a clean get away. He slid his right, index finger into the trigger chamber and rested it on the trigger itself. His left hand held the belly of the gun tightly and aimed it down in the direction of Jp, watching around him intently waiting for any reason to fire.

Jp was down in crouching position behind a large, bushy shrub at the bottom of the hill. He was on the edge of Elm Ave. staring intently at Dave’s front door, he knew what to wait for, and knew it would happen. All of Elm Street had the same landscape; left half of it was the beginning of the housing area. The right side was open land that led to the fenced off paintball field that the whole town knew of.
