Flat File Database- accessing, managing and updating data. Relational Databases with a group of related fields that are connected by a key. A flat file database is a database system, which only allows data to be stored as a single set of records of the same kind. Conceptually it is similar to a conventional card index. Eg Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel.
