So together, along with Saphira, they left for the port city of Teirm to seek out Brom’s old buddy Jeod. Jeod informs them that someone in Dras-Leona has been buying the same kind of oil that the Ra’zac had been carrying. Also while there, Eragon ran into a werecat that told Eragon to follow him to his master Angela. Angela was a fortuneteller and told Eragon of what his future would bring.

Brom and Eragon realized that they needed to leave for Dras-Leona to find out more about what the emperor was planning. While in Dras-Leona, Brom finds out that the emperor had been buying all the same kind of oil that the Ra’zac had been carrying. So Brom comes to the conclusion that the emperor had hired the Ra’zac to find out what had happened to the lost dragon egg. At the same time, Eragon was poking his nose where it should not been and get discovered by some guards, and the Ra’zac as well. They are forced to make a quick leave to Mount Helgrind. There they find worshipers of the mountain, but decided it would be best not to get too close to them because they might be spies. That night though, the Ra’zac surprisingly attacks them.
