The most convincing information proving the Warren Commission was wrong is physical evidence that anyone can recognize. Medical evidence is extremely crucial.
Immediately after Kennedy was shot, he was rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, in his motorcade. Experienced doctors and nurses at Parkland had done thorough examinations of the large hole in the back of the President’s head. All of them described it as an exit wound. It is doubtful that they all can be mistaken (Livingstone and Groden 26). Dr. Paul Peters, of Southwestern Medical School, also assisted at the autopsy of the President. He testified to the Warren Commission about what he saw. “We saw the wound of entry in the throat and noted the large occipital wound, and it is a known fact that high velocity missiles often have a small wound of entrance and a large wound of exit” (qtd. Livingstone and Groden 38).
One of the most ridiculous parts of the theory of the Warren Commission is the “Magic Bullet” theory. This was created by Arlen Specter, a young lawyer (now a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania). While working with the Warren Commission, Specter asked Dr. Humes, of Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, if this pristine bullet could have caused all seven wounds in Kennedy and Texas Governor John Connally (who sat in front of Kennedy) and ended up in Connally’s thigh. Humes responded, “I think that extremely unlikely. The reports […] tell of an entrance wound on the lower mid-thigh of the Governor and x-rays taken there are described as showing metallic fragments in the bone” [….] (qtd. Livingstone and Groden 55-56). Drs. Finck and Boswell agreed.
